For this recipe I used FAGE Total 5% yogurt, which is a very creamy strained yogurt with a delicious taste. It has no added sugars and is high in protein. It does not contain sweeteners and is suitable to be part of a balanced diet. It is also strained yogurt, following the Greek recipe. This recipe is suitable for most beginners and even your children will be happy to help you.

  • 500 g yogurt FAGE Total 5%
  • 500 g whipping cream at least 35% fat
  • 3 or 4 lemons
  • 80 g sugar (can be added more)

1. – Reserve some lemon peel for the final decoration. Use a peeler to remove the yellow part of the skin. Cut the lemons in half and squeeze them. Strain the lemon juice and save it.

2.- Whip the cream. Pour the cream into a large bowl and add the sugar. Whip the cream with the sticks. Start at a low speed and gradually increase your speed. The cream should be very cold and at least 35 percent fat.

3.- Pour the yogurt into a bowl and beat with the sticks, gradually adding the lemon juice.

4. – Mix the preparations. Add the yogurt with lemon juice to the cream little by little and integrate it. If you are not going to serve it, keep the mixture in the refrigerator well covered.

5.- Prepare the cups. You can put the mousse in the cups using a pastry bag or spoon. Wipe the edge with a napkin to remove the excess and make it cleaner. Chop the lemon peel that you have saved in advance and put a few sprinkles on top. Finish the dessert with a mint leaf on top. Ready to eat.

You can reduce or increase the amount of sugar to your liking and you can even replace the equivalent of your favorite sweetener if you want a lighter dessert.
