March is all about Eco-friendly, and not just for St. Patrick’s Day! Spring is below, or about to be, and with it comes the initial of two of my favorite spring vegetables—asparagus and artichokes.
Even though asparagus in our nearby markets expense about $4/pound in the off-period, when they are abundant in the spring, I can come across them nearer to $1/pound. (That’s why my mother advises me, “Usually acquire your foodstuff in time. Saves funds, preferences improved.”)
You’ll also uncover broccoli, fennel, and chard, watercress, arugula, and mustard greens, as perfectly as leeks, spring garlic, and spring onions.
