This chocolate cake surprises with its preparation, as it is prepared with mayonnaise. This is a very fluffy and popular cake, perfect for birthdays.
- For the mayonnaise:
- 250 ml oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch of salt
- About the cake:
- 360 g of wheat flour
- 240 grams of sugar
- 250 ml of water
- 5 tablespoons pure cocoa
- 1 sachet of baking powder (16 g of baking powder)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- For coverage:
- Melt 100 g of chocolate
- 50 ml liquid cream
- Physalis for garnish
Preparing the recipe for mayonnaise cake:
To do it mayonnaise, put the butter, eggs and salt in the mixing bowl. Place the mixer and beat the ingredients without moving it. When it starts to emulsify, make gentle movements with the mixer up and down until the mayonnaise is ready.
Put the mayonnaise, flour, sugar, water, cocoa, yeast and cinnamon in a bowl and beat everything with the mixer until you get a homogeneous dough.
Coat the mold with a little oil and flour and fill it with the dough. Place the form in the preheated oven and bake at 180 ° C for about 45 minutes until done. To find out if the cake is ready, place the tip of the knife: if it comes out clean, it is ready, but if not, leave it for a few more minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and let it warm up.
For chocolate coating, put the cream to heat in a saucepan and add the chopped chocolate. Stir until completely melted.
Disassemble the cake and cover it with the chocolate coating. Allow it to cool. Decorate the cake with physalis and serve.
