The city of Pedrajas de San Esteban, in Valladolid, will be the seat of the future National Research Center in Pignon.
The Cortes of Castile and Leon will vote for an initiative to establish in Pedrajas de San Esteban the future Pinion National Research Center.
This announcement was made yesterday by PSOE Regional Secretary Oscar Lopez during his visit to the Pignon town par excellence in Spain and after a working meeting with the President of the Castilian Association of Pinion Producers (ACEPI), and representatives of two of the most important companies in the sector, the PiñónSol and Castilian cedar nuts (PICASA).
Apart from their interest in the situation and problems of the sector, as well as in the implementation of the new regulatory provisions on the collection, transport and marketing of cedar nuts, approved last year by Meeting of Castile and Leon, addressed a problem that has not yet emerged despite the desire of part of the sector, such as the implementation of a quality mark for Piñón de Pedrajas.
It is clear that this initiative in the future will make the marketing and research of cedar nut and stone pine, respectively, more jobs and finding work in rural areas, such as. Pedrajas de San Esteban (Valladolid). A city that produces 80% of the pine nuts sold in Spain, most of which are sold abroad.
Now is your time.
