Today in the Family Kitchen with Javier Romero I present you a delicious dessert with which you can use those pieces of cake that always remain when we make bigger than we should. I made peach pudding in syrup with homemade sponge cake, for which I have to die.

Pudding, in every version, is a homemade dessert that I love. I like that it can hold a wide variety of ingredients and most of all I like its structure. The base of the pudding is always the same. A liquid mixture of milk, eggs and sugar (may vary a bit, but these 3 ingredients will always be there), some pastries or stale bread to soak it up and then, if you want, some kind of fruit that gives it a contrast. In this case, we have a peach in syrup, which many people know, so I’m sure many of you will make it at home.

We started making homemade caramel, for which I will leave you a recipe that I posted and which you can see CLICK HERE.

When we are done, we will pour it into the form we will use and move it to spread the caramel well all over the bottom and a small part on the side.

Step 2 of peach pudding in sponge cake syrup

While it crystallizes, we will make the liquid mixture by placing the eggs with the sugar in a bowl. Once we beat them well, we will add the milk and mix it until we get a homogeneous liquid. Once the caramel crystallizes, we will cover the entire bottom of the form with peach slices in syrup.

Then we will put a sponge cake and soak it well with a mixture of eggs, sugar and milk. Then another layer of peach, another layer of sponge cake and again the mixture.

Step 4 Peach pudding in sponge cake syrup

Turn on the oven at 180 ° C with heating up and down WITHOUT a fan and when it is hot, put the pudding and bake it for 65 minutes.

Step 5 of peach pudding in sponge cake syrup

After this time we will check if the pudding is made by pricking with a needle. If it comes out clean, we can take it out of the oven permanently. We will wait for it to cool completely and then put it in the fridge for a few hours. Then we will cast it and we will be able to eat it in peace.
