I give you a trick to make potatoes crispy without frying them in a lot of butter and the extra calories they carry with them. With this recipe in the oven you can accompany your second dishes with some delicious french fries, but without frying. They are very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They will delight everyone at home and also with very little fat, which becomes very healthy. You can season them to your liking with the spices you like best at home.
I recommend these potatoes in adabilo or with paprika. Few ingredients and a lot of taste if you like recipes with potatoes. You already know that potatoes are very cheap and that they are used to make very, very rich dishes.
For 4 people
- 1 kg of potatoes
- 2 tablespoons corn flour
- ½ teaspoon rosemary
- ½ a teaspoon of thyme
- ½ teaspoon sweet red pepper
- ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- Olive oil

1.- Cut the potatoes into wedges. Wash the potatoes well and cut them, first in half, then cut them into wedges. See in the video how I do it.
2.- Place the segments on parchment paper on the oven tray.
3.- Prepare the potato dressing. Put a few tablespoons of cornflour in a bowl and add the amount of flavor to each of the spices. I put half a teaspoon of each. Finally add half a teaspoon of salt and mix everything. You can add a little grated cheese or other spices that you like.
4. – Put a spray of olive oil on the potatoes. Use the oil you usually use in the kitchen. Spread the oil on all the potatoes by hand and sprinkle the spice on top. Spread well with your hands, making sure all the potatoes are well impregnated with the dressing. Separate the potatoes to cook better.
5.- Bake the potatoes at 220 degrees, heating up and down for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
My tips for making these healthy potato chips:
The trick to making them crispy is cornmeal. If you do not have corn flour, you can add wheat flour or do without this ingredient.
You can remove or add spices to taste and preferred amounts depending on whether you like it more or less spicy.
It is not necessary to preheat the oven before cooking. I’ve had them in the oven for 40 minutes, but since not all ovens heat up the same way, you’ll have to watch from time to time so they don’t burn.
If you usually accompany your second side dishes, do not miss these so original. In my house we have to accompany everything and although the potatoes are the side dish that we usually eat the most … we make innovations with other more original ones.
