In a blind tasting, it can go through different types of wine, from nutmeg, blush, semi-sweet … If we take off the mask, we see a completely different wine from all known, blue in color and with 11.5 degrees of alcohol. This is Gïk, the blue wine.
Two years have passed since a group of five young people, in collaboration with the University of the Basque Country and the Azti Tecnalia Center, slowly developed and marketed the world’s first blue wine: “Geek“.
With a surprising indigo blue color and aroma, they say, something sweet, smooth and very pleasant to the palate, these five “fools” revolutionize the world of wine with this blue wine. A color that is obtained by adding to the production process a natural pigment called indigotine, which makes the end result have this particular color.
Although in our country, according to regulations, it cannot be considered the right wine, the most correct would be to call it “aromatized wine-based drink”, Gïk makes a place for itself in the bars of the best terraces thanks to the special features. its color, its special taste and most of all, because it is on everyone’s lips, either for their pleasure or to make it “green”.
