Garlic soup recipe by Karlos Arguiñano

Karlos Arguiñano makes garlic soup based on garlic, fresh garlic, bread and ham. Traditional recipe, very easy to prepare and perfect for cold days.

Ingredients (4 people):

  • 150 g of bread soup
  • 150 g of Serrano ham
  • 24 fresh garlic
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 cube chicken broth
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 hot red pepper
  • parsley

Preparing the recipe for garlic soup:

Peel the garlic cloves and chop them in sheets. Remove the bottom and top of fresh garlic, cut into cylinders and add them.

Put a little heating oil in a large saucepan, add the garlic (dry and fresh) and deny them a little, being careful not to brown them.

With a serrated knife cut the bread into slices fine.

Add the bread, minced ham, red pepper and cayenne pepper. Pour 1 liter and a half of water and add the cube of chicken broth. Prepare everything for 20-25 minutes.

When the soup is ready, mix it well with a stirrer until the bread and garlic fall apart. Serve the garlic soup and decorate the plates with a few parsley leaves.

Tip:

This recipe perfectly withstands freezing, so if you have leftovers, you can freeze it for any other occasion.
