Feviandtur 2009, a wide range of activities

The city of Montilla in Cordoba will host, from 26 to 29 November, the Feviandtur 2009, a trade fair that will bring together more than seventy Andalusian companies from the world of wine, gastronomy and tourism.

Inside the third edition of Feviandtur, we will find a wide range of activities, including III Conference on Gastronomy of Andalusia, which will be attended by prominent professionals from different nationalities, as well as food critics and specialized media.

This interesting event will be complemented by the celebration in The Congress Palace of Cordoba on First Salmorejo Cordobés gastronomic cooking and pastry competition that, endowed with a juicy economic award, it will bring together a large number of chefs and hospitality students, thus increasing the flow of professionals and assistants from the capital of Córdoba to the headquarters of Córdoba. The First Salmorejo Cordobés gastronomic competition is aimed at kitchen and pastry professionals from all over Spain and students from the latter cooking course and pastries Andalusian hospitality schools.

From all received requests the organization of First Salmorejo Cordobés gastronomic cooking and pastry competition will make a selection of the ten finalist dishes in the cooking mode and ten finalist dishes in the pastry mode, which will be the ones that the professional jury evaluates at the final, which will take place on 27 and 28 November 2009.

These twenty finalists will be awarded a diploma for participation in the competition, and the first two ranked, both in cooking and in cakes, will win respectively 3,000 and 1,500 euros prize plus a trophy.

For their part, Andalusian winemakers will also have the opportunity to make their wines famous in an exclusive and original way, as Feviandur will have for the first time a Wine tunnel, in which professionals from the sector will be able to taste different types of wines, while knowing their organoleptic characteristics and the best conditions for their tasting.

All these activities, together with the coincidence with the holiday in Montilla de la XIII Assembly of the International Network of Wine Cities (Recevin) and an ambitious national communication plan will be developed Feviandur in one of the best fairs in the wine sector and gastronomic and wine tourism of Andalusia.
