I was first introduced to the idea of a dump cake when I was in large college. It speedily grew to become a favorite of my mom’s for the reason that it was so uncomplicated and convenient – and, of study course, everybody liked having it!
Vintage dump cakes, my mom’s integrated, ended up created with canned pie filling, a box of dry cake blend, and melted butter. The substances ended up dumped into the pan — fruit first, then cake blend, adopted by the melted butter. No mixing just layer and bake.
The total thing came out of the oven resembling a thing in between a cobbler and streusel.
