Hello my name is David
I am going to show you a new amazing recipe
Today in Family Kitchen with Javier Romero I present you a recipe, internationally known for being the favorite salad of Hollywood stars. It’s a Cobb salad, a dish invented by Robert H. Cobb. It turns out that this character was the owner of a restaurant called Brown Derby, located in Hollywood. One evening in 1937, Sid Grauman, the founder of the Chinese Grauman Theater in Hollywood, entered the restaurant and Robert made him a snack made from various ingredients, mostly very ground. He liked it so much that he repeated the experience later and the other Hollywood stars also started wanting him. Cobb salad has become so famous that it has since been cooked in many restaurants around the world with its respective variants.
And to know how to make other international salads, I’ll leave you here some of the ones I posted in Family Kitchen, and to see them, just click on the title in blue.
– Caesar salad
– Waldorf salad
– Lettuce or lettuce
Ingredients for 4 people
We will start with the preparation of the bread croutons. For this purpose, we will cut 2 slices of bread without crust (or we will first cut the crust, if they have it) and we will put all the cubes to fry in a pan with soil oil.
When they are well baked, we will remove the croutons in a plate with absorbent paper to remove excess fat.
Then cut the bacon into strips and the chicken breast into cubes. Put the bacon to cook in a pan with a little olive oil covering the bottom and when it is half done, we will add the chicken and season. When it’s all over, we’ll take it out on a plate.
Now we will start cutting the vegetables into small pieces. We will start by peeling the tomato and cutting it into cubes. Then we will do the same with onion and green pepper, but in these cases we will cut them into very fine cubes. Then we will add everything in a large bowl, where we will mix all the ingredients.
At this stage we will prepare the sauce for the salad. We will put a bowl of olive oil almost full in a pot. We will use the same container to add the rest. In the case of Perrins sauce, we will place a spray that covers the bottom of the bowl. We will put half a bowl of lemon juice. Dijon mustard about 3/4 of the bowl. Then we will add a little salt, close the jar and shake it until everything is well mixed.
Then we will add the sweet corn (pre-drained) to the bowl, the green olives and the diced fresh cheese.
Now we just need to add the lettuce iceberg well cleaned and drained, add the sauce to taste and mix everything.
For a lid, we will put Cobb salad in a bowl and decorate it with boiled eggs, cut as we like.
And that’s it, friends, we finished our salad Cobb, the favorite of Hollywood stars. I hope you prepare it very soon at home and upload the final photo on Instagram, mentioning my account 55000 Recipes. Nothing more for today, more tomorrow and better here at Family Kitchen.
I will see you on another recipe.
