3 – Add the hazelnuts

Then we will add the hazelnuts that we have previously crushed (although I did not mash them for a long time to notice the pieces in the cake) and we will stir to distribute them well.

4 – Pour the dough into the form

Now, in a removable form for rings with a diameter of 26 cm, we will put greaseproof paper between the base and the ring so that no liquid leaks. Spread it with a spray and pour the whole mixture inside.

5 – Bake the carrot cake

Turn on the oven at 180ºC with heating up and down WITHOUT a fan and when it is hot we put the form and bake the cake for 45 minutes.

6 – Disassemble the cake

After this time we will check if the cake is made by stabbing it with a needle. If it comes out clean, we can take it out of the oven permanently and wait for it to cool completely to spill it.

7 – Melt the chocolate with the butter

Once we cool it completely, we will start making chocolate ganache. We will put the pot on the fire with a little water on the bottom. The casserole should be large enough to hold a metal bowl but not touch the water. In the bowl we will put the cream, butter, powdered sugar and chopped chocolate.

8 – Add the cream to the coating

We will wait for everything to melt and we will start to stir. If you see that the ganache is very thick, you can add a little more cream. When it is at the desired point of thickness, we will remove it from the heat and let it temper a little to make it a little thicker.

9 – Place the chocolate coating on the carrot cake

At this point, we will place the grill cake with a tray underneath and gradually pour ganache on it, ensuring that the entire surface of the cake and the sides are covered with chocolate. To finish, we will put a little chopped hazelnuts on top.
